![]() ![]() Take safety precautions, as crime and accidents do happen. Important note Swimming in remote, wilderness areas is at your own risk – don’t go in the water unless you’re a confident swimmer. Which are your favourites? We’d love to hear from you in the comments below. Shop online for aqua shoes, hiking boots, day packs, sun hats and more, then grab your cozzie and go take the plunge. In partnership with Cape Union Mart, a trusted one-stop destination for outdoor enthusiasts, travellers and explorers, we’ve rounded-up our favourite wild swims in nature.Ĭape Union Mart has you covered when it comes to being dam cool. And considering the high temperatures in summer, there’s hardly a better way to beat the heat than plunging into a crystal-clear rock pool (made all the more rewarding if you have to hike to reach it). Not mine. When Cape Town heats up, these alfresco pools – away from the crowds – are the perfect way to cool down.Ĭape Town is dotted with a refreshing array of amazing dams and rivers where you can enjoy scenic swims and exhilarating dips – sans the sand and the crowds. His attitude was like "That's your problem. I'm sure that it's their policy, but he could have asked us if we can wait while he checks if the wheelchair can be back soon, or something like that. He was defensive and said, "We have 2 wheelchairs, but they are being used." "Exactly, I said, so can you please consider allowing us to drive her to the entrance of the pools?" No amount of pleading convinced Mr. So I said, "but we're requesting an exemption because you don't have a wheelchair". The front office person flatly and with finality said it's not allowed. So we asked instead to allow us to drive past the barrier and bring our PWD closer to the pool. We were told that the two wheelchairs they have are occupied. From the front office, the entrance to the pools would be a walk of around 300 meters. We came with a 70 year old polio survivor, so we asked for a wheelchair. The food is Filipino, not bad but nothing to rave about.Ĭustomer service in the front office is very stiff. If it's hot, go in the cooler pools.įor 2,500 pesos per person - you can bathe the whole day, with lunch and pm snacks included. If the weather is cold, you can enjoy the warm pools. The setting is very natural, it feels like you're in the middle of the forest. You all made our stay worth it after having a disappointed lunch.Īnd the pools are still lovely like they have always been.īathe in natural spring pools, that's what you do in this resort. I just want to say kudos to the very friendly and efficient staff. Please Hidden Valley, if you could not serve a delicious buffet then please JUST CONSIDER HAVING ANĪLA CARTE RESTAURANT that serves good food. There were foreigners who got the day tour with us that day, and I feel bad for them, what if they think Filipino food tasted so bad like that? Argh. We would have enjoyed the lunch buffet if served that way. To Hidden Valley kitchen, if you want food on a budget, You could have just served Fried Bangus or Tilapia, Steamed Veggies like Talong, Okra and Kangkong, Lechon Kawali, Fried Chicken and a tasty Pansit WITH SOY SAUCE AND MEAT. I hope the management would be able to do something about it or else its so sad to not being able to experience Hidden Valley ever again. I mean, if they want to serve a buffet on a budget, they should lower their rate, paying 2800 as an entrance fee and be served a lousy buffet is not fair. Their chef must have been having a bad day for cooking those foods terribly. Just sweet banana that has a burnt taste, nata de coco and gelatin cubes. Lunch menu was monggo soup, Pansit Bihon that tasted like they only put water in it, I didnt even see a piece of meat lol., Lumpia Gulay that was overcooked, Sweet Sour Fish which they used Mud fish not even dory, Menudo that looked full of ketchup and cheap hotdogs, Chicken Mushroom that tasted old and overcooked, and Kare kare that only had beef skin, fat and tripes. They served us mediocre carinderia level food (heck, one of the carinderia here at our place tasted even better). ![]() Warning: THEIR LUNCH BUFFET IS THE WORST BUFFET I ever had my entire life. We paid 2800 per person, and that hefty price is not worth it. If not only for the lovely pools and the friendly and competent staff, I would have given this resort a 1 star rating. ![]() Barcelo Bavaro Palace All Inclusive Resort.Wyndham Grand Cancun All Inclusive Resort & Villas.Hilton Tulum Riviera Maya All-Inclusive Resort.Hotels near University of the Philippines Los Banos.Hotels near (MNL) Ninoy Aquino Intl Airport.Hotels near Hidden Valley Springs Resort. ![]()
